The dust has settled and the clear up has been finished on what was a fantastic wedding ceremony for Alayna and Ross at the yard this weekend. The weather could not have been any better and the day went perfectly. They would like to thank everyone who very kindly sent cards and gifts and they'll be in touch soon to thank you all personally.

The week couldn't have started off any better with a winner on my birthday on Tuesday when Spanish Mane notched her second win at Brighton under Rose Dawes once again.
Things didn't go to plan for the pair over the same course and distance last time but Rose was a lot more on the ball on this occasion and Spanish tanked her way through the field and dug in deep to fend off the late challengers at the end. She has been a legend of a horse for us and still looks like she has plenty more wins and fun days in her for her syndicate of owners.
I think this is the fourth time I've had a winner on my birthday and it's the best gift I could ask for!

Obviously we kept runners to a minimum over the weekend with everything that was going on at home but we're back at the track this week starting with Yarmouth on Wednesday.
You Didn't Did You ran a nice debut last November but picked up an injury after that so has had time off since then. She'll likely need the run for fitness and education but it's great to have her back on track.
Heer's Sadie surprised us last time with a great second place over seven furlongs so I hope she can run another good one over six furlongs this time which is more suitable. She seems in great form at home so hopefully she can run a big race.

I won't be at the races that day as I'm heading to hospital for my second hip replacement and I'm very much looking forward to getting it sorted and being pain free again. I won't be able to drive for six weeks at least so I'll be absent from the races for a while but I doubt I'll be able to sit down for long at home!

The key to Fen Tiger winning is soft ground as shown by his win last time but that means we've had to wait a long time to run him again thanks to the long dry spell. He's entered at Leicester on Thursday and may run whatever the ground as he needs to let off some steam. Obviously a heavy shower of rain would help his chances massively.
