I don't mind not having many runners at the minute when they continue to race in the form that they are currently and we notched another winner this week at Chelmsford. Notre Dame is a filly we picked up last summer very cheaply and she has always shown us promise at home. After having three runs for experience, she was ready to run better switched the handicaps and she continued her progression with every run, finishing third then second and she went one better this time with a win. She was very brave and battled well, no doubt helped by her syndicate of owners cheering her home! There's a great bunch of owners in her and I'm delighted that she has rewarded their loyalty with more to come. The win also gives a nice boost to her younger brother who we bought at the yearling sales at the end of last year because we thought Notre Dame would improve. There are still a few shares available in his syndicate with more details listed on our OWNERSHIP PAGE. We just have one runner this week but hopefully she'll have a great chance too as Stintino Sunset heads to Wolverhampton on Thursday evening. She has been in consistent form since winning twice last year and the month's break since her last race will have benefitted her as she seems to run best fresh.
We always welcome owners and visitors to the yard any day of the year but it might be best to postpone any planned visits for a couple weeks as we are having some long overdue drainage works in the main yard remedied by our landlord. The yard will also be resurfaced and it will be a bit of a building site whilst it is being done so I would recommend coming in a couple of weeks when we have a shiny new yard! Comments are closed.
