It's a big week for the jumps brigade as the Cheltenham Festival has come around again and I must say I'm glad we don't have any jumps horses as it seems their whole season is all about this meeting and it is very much the be all and end all.
I will enjoy watching the action though and it's a pleasure to watch the best jumps horses battle it out in front of packed grandstands. My main hope is that everyone comes back safe and sound.

Flat racing takes a bit of a back seat this week with just a handful meetings and then the following week sees a complete break ahead of the new turf season commencing.
We have just two entries which come at Wolverhampton on Friday.
Hot Romance has been drawn in the widest stall in her last four runs so we're praying her bad luck ends and she can get a low stall which will help her chance out significantly. She has shown ability in the past but hasn't been able to match that form recently, mainly due to wide starting positions.
Arpina will be travelling with her and she usually runs a solid race. Things didn't go 100% her way last time but she still wasn't beaten far and I imagine she'll be in the mix again granted a good start.

With the new flat season looming, the team of horses are gearing up their work and will be doing serious gallops again shortly. I purposefully put their schedules back a couple of weeks this year as we always find that the horses are ready to run in mid March but there aren't any races for them so the plan this time is to be ready to run in April and then build things from there.
