I enjoyed watching the action from Cheltenham this week and it was great again to see Rachael Blackmore take the plaudits for her ride in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
There is a week's break in the flat racing calendar until Doncaster at the weekend so there's no racing for us but the team at home are gearing up for the new campaign and a whole host of them had their first gallop of the year this weekend as they near peak fitness for a return to the track.
We have some lovely three-year olds who have strengthened up a lot from their juvenile year whilst the familiar older faces are back chomping at the bit after being freshened up with a winter holiday.
John and I will be getting some sun on our own backs this week as we jet off to Dubai on Wednesday for a week away to watch the Dubai World Cup at Meydan. It is always a great trip and we've been looking forward to it all winter!
