John and I have been having a great time in Dubai for the World Cup meeting on Saturday and it was a fantastic event with a huge crowd back again after covid.
The racing on the track is the best in the world and the show they put on afterwards was amazing with hundreds of drones making a light show in the sky.
It has been a bit like Julia Feilden Racing on tour here and it is great to see so many familiar faces who had travelled over as well - I haven't been short of a drinking companion!
The weather has been very hot at over 30c so I've been in the shade mostly but it has been a good chance to relax before the season ahead.
The yard has been left in safe hands with the team at home and we don't have a runner until we're back on Wednesday.
Thursday will be a busy one as Hot Romance heads to Ascot Sales in the morning and Fen Tiger will be off to Chelmsford in the afternoon. He has been consistent on the all-weather but soft ground on the turf is what he needs. We're not getting that for a while so I see no reason why he shouldn't have another consistent run as we keep him ticking over in the mean time.
