Even though we are a bit quieter anyway at this time of year, it was great to have a scheduled week of no flat racing and it reminded me of when racing stopped for the covid lockdown - you could just get on with the day job without worrying about fighting the traffic to get to the races. However, going racing is what we do this all for so we are back to it this week with one runner at Lingfield on Tuesday. Heer's Sadie is running out of chances to show herself and has been very disappointing since winning at Yarmouth last year. Her handicap mark has fallen to rock bottom but she still gallops at home like a horse with plenty of ability so our hopes are resting on the fact that she steps up to one mile this time and it is a 'hands and heels' only race so the apprentice jockeys can't use the whip. She's capable of winning if in the mood. Hopefully you all saw the email that went out this week announcing the new horse which has joined the N.E.T. Racing Club roster. I bought Corporate Raider from the Robert Cowell yard recently and I'm delighted with how he has settled in. He is a lovely looking two-year old who seems sure to improve with a bit of time to fill his big frame. He is pretty fit so will be running in January and the Club should have a busy time with Engrave back to full fitness and Zany Idea now ready to hit the racecourse soon. Full details of how to join the Club can be found on our OWNERSHIP PAGE. Comments are closed.
