Apologies for the delayed blog but yesterday John and I were travelling down to Southampton to go on board the first cruise we've ever been on. Hopefully it's not because of our age but more because cruises have become cool! We shall be having two weeks around the Canary Islands and back and hopefully I'll be ok on board a boat for that long. I'm used to being up and about but the boat is the size of a small town so there should be plenty to do.

The yard will be in good hands with Shelley and the team so I've no worries on that respect and we have a few runners to keep them out of trouble.
On Tuesday Spanish Mane goes to her favourite track Yarmouth and I think she should have a great chance having blown away the cobwebs with a run last month. She fared much better than we thought on that occasion and went on the softer ground well which might be what she needs on the old joints now she is in the veteran stage.
Regular rider Rose Dawes has had to go to Brighton so we're happy to have Georgia Dobie who won on her a couple of years ago.

On Wednesday we will be at  Wolverhampton with two runners.
There has been plenty of soft ground for Fen Tiger to run on but frustratingly there have been no suitable races so he is having to run on the all weather here which isn't his preferred surface. He has plenty of placed form on it though so a good run isn't out of the question.
Savannah Song will be accompanying him there as she has her second career run. She ran with credit on debut and this will be a bit more experience for her.

The last entry for the week is Smokey Malone at Chelmsford on Thursday.
He got his head back in front at Southwell last time and I think he should hold his form for a while now. As ever, he needs luck in running with his hold-up tactics so hopefully he gets that.
